Ararat Digital Hub & Co-Working Space
Ararat Rural City Council received $92,000 from the Regional Digital Fund to activate the Ararat Community Hub and Digital Co-Working Space that will be collocated with Ararat Jobs and Technology Precinct site (3/5 Laby Street, Ararat), a partnership between Ararat Rural City Council and Federation University Australia. The precinct will be a cutting-edge research facility that will explore value-added opportunities to grow the local agriculture sector.
Ararat Digital Hub and Co-Working Space is a social enterprise, designed for entrepreneurs and freelancers to work hard, collaborate and inspire each other. However, it is more than just a co-working space; it is a space where people can talk shop with like-minded professionals from across the municipality and beyond who would otherwise work from home or on the road. It is a space that can tackle the challenge of our youth and creatives leaving town for the big smoke, by giving them opportunity to think big on their home turf.
Ararat Digital Hub and Co-Working Space will offer tangible value to stakeholders – new opportunities for work-based collaboration and economic development as well as a place where people from different sectors can feel connected, energised and inspired.
Operating hours for the hub are 9am-3pm weekdays (or by prior arrangement) providing a drop in style arrangement for the community and social entrepreneurs to engage with both the digital assets of the digital hub but also the Economic Development team.
Take advantage of the FREE trial period until early next year.
