Q. What hours will I work?

Council's office hours are from 8.00am until 5.15pm, Monday to Friday.

Full-time indoor employees are generally expected to work the hours above, with a rostered day off every two weeks.

Full-time outdoor employees are generally expected to work 7.30am until 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, with a rostered day off each fortnight.

Q. What is the dress code?

The dress code depends on your area of employment. Generally, the following applies:

  • indoor employees are expected to wear smart business attire and a uniform allowance is provided.
  • outdoor employees will be issued with a uniform


Q. Who will see my application? Is it confidential?

Your application will be treated with utmost respect and confidentiality. Initially, the only person(s) to see your details will be members of our People & Culture team, the hiring manager and the selection panel members involved in the role(s) you have applied for.
