About the role:

We are currently looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our Emergency Management and Local Laws team.  This role will be responsible for implementing all areas of fire prevention and planning as well as acting as Council’s Municipal Fire Prevention Officer (MFPO) and the Municipal Emergency Resources Officer (MERO). This position will play a hands on role in the establishment and continued development of emergency management plans, processes and initiatives within the municipality.  The successful applicant will also coordinate the resources and staffing of the Municipal Emergency Coordination Centre during periods of emergency.

The Emergency Management & Local Laws Coordinator will also be responsible for the operations of the Local Laws team, focused on animal control and parking compliance within the municipality.
