PAC offers spectacular architectural spaces for hire, including a versatile 243- 500 seat theatre, multi-functional Studio Space, foyer and a multi- purpose space with adjoining commercial kitchen.
The Ararat Performing Arts Centre is located right in the centre of the Ararat CBD, surrounded by wonderful cafes, magnificent accommodation and the botanical gardens.
This fully equipped theatre that retains much of the beauty of the original Victorian town hall whilst combining it with the latest theatre technology. The Theatre is suitable for drama, dance, music, and opera as well as functions and conferences.

This room, which has excellent acoustics, can be utilised as a large space for such things as concerts, theatre productions, cabaret & formal balls, expositions.
Due to flexibility of auditorium lay outs, a vast array of set up options are available, making it possible to configure it in such a way as to reduce the size utilised, thus providing a cosy and comfortable setting. For example wedding receptions and such.
It all depends on your requirements if it's possible, we'll do it.
For shows such as concerts / seminars etc, we can comfortably seat up to 600 people. For theatre productions, which are usually performed on the floor in front of the retractable seating, usual arrangements allow for 243 people, but increased numbers can be accommodated if the performance takes place on our modular stage (although this can restrict movement of actors and scenery etc).
Two large dressing rooms are available.

Foyer & Bar Area
This area is often used for smaller meetings, auctions, receptions etc.
This area has access to a functional bar, sink, bar fridge and service area.
An area which is adjacent to and smaller in size than the auditorium is also available for hire. The supper room, as the name suggests, can be used as a dining room. It also can be used as a meeting room, training room, auction room, and also as an extension of the auditorium when extra space is required for seating at functions such as formal and cabaret balls.
The kitchen is well equipped with an eight burner stove, large cool room, microwave, pie warmer and dishwasher. Plenty of bench space is available for meal preparation.
Multi Purpose Space
This area is usually used for workshop activities such as visual art classes, wool & fibre craft, etc. It has also been utilised for auctions, smaller meetings, and smaller parties. It is not suited to events which require data projection during the day, as one wall is un-curtained windows.
