An outdoor cinema is popping up in Ararat this week providing free general administration tickets to those patrons that book online.

Cinema Pop Up – sponsored by Ararat Rural City Council, Stawell and Horsham Toyota, TAC and Prime Super – will run for four nights only, from Thursday, November 30 up to and including Sunday, December 3 and is catering for all featuring the following favourite movies:

• Thursday, November 30 – Elf, PG

• Friday, December 1 – The Lego Batman Movie, PB

• Saturday, December 2 – Pitch Perfect, PG

• Sunday, December 3 – Dodgeball: A true underdog story, PG

Gates open at 6pm nightly, with food trucks, free activities and a bar available for the adults.

Ararat Rural City Council encourage everybody to get along early and have a picnic, taking advantage of the food trucks on site, however food and drinks are not to be brought in.

For general admission tickets, you’re more than welcome to bring along picnic blankets to sit on the grass, and for those wanting a little more comfort, bean beds are available for hire for $15 online and $20 at the gate.

Supported by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), Toyota and Prime Super, tickets are available for purchase at the gate from only $10 for adults and $5 for children, however, if you book online, tickets are FREE.

“Tickets for Thursday and Friday night have been exceptionally popular and will sell out, whilst tickets for Saturday and Sunday nights screening of Pitch Perfect and Dodgeball still remain available,” Event Director, Kate Hardwick said.

“We’d love to see everyone in Ararat get behind Cinema Pop Up and get along to the outdoor cinema whilst it is in town.”
