Ararat Rural City Council's 2019/2020 Budget includes the single largest investment in capital works. After the budget was adopted in June 2019, the Council will invest $14.689 million funded through $6.152 million from Council operations, $5.271 million from government grants, $2.987 million from Council reserves, and $279,000 from asset sales. This level of investment is only possible through cost savings made in other areas of Council operations.

Delivering key infrastructure projects for the community.
Ensuring financial sustainability by reducing costs.
Continued review of expenditure to identify further cost savings.
