Arts Precinct - Caretaker

Ararat Rural City Council is seeking a motivated and reliable Caretaker to support the maintenance, safety, and presentation of our Arts Precinct on a full-time basis. This hands-on role plays a key part in ensuring our galleries, studios, performance spaces, and community areas remain clean, secure, and welcoming to all.

Key responsibilities include:

•    Performing cleaning and sanitisation duties to high standards
•    Supporting event setup/pack-down and day-to-day operations
•    Assisting visitors and promoting a positive, inclusive environment

The successful candidate will be self-directed, customer-focused, and capable of working independently. Experience in commercial cleaning, general maintenance, and community facility care is essential.

Some weekend and evening work may be required as per roster.
