BreastScreen Victoria Van – Ararat MSS visit
From 30 November to 15 December, BreastScreen Victoria’s hot pink van will visit Ararat at Ararat Library Car Park, Cnr Barkly & Queen Streets, Ararat VIC 3377 to provide free breast screens to the community.
Women aged between 50 to 74 should have a free breast screen every two years. They are the best way to find breast cancer early, before there are symptoms, and when treatment is most successful.
All breast screens are with a woman radiographer, you don’t need a doctor’s referral or Medicare card, and screens only take 10 minutes.
The mobile screening van uses the same technology as the clinics and has COVID-19 safe practices. The van offers the same service as our clinics, the only difference is that the van is mobile and provides access to breast screens in regional and rural locations.
Appointments for the Ararat van can be made online at breastscreen.org.au or by calling 13 20 50.
