This week marks the 12-month anniversary of the bushfires which struck Pomonal on 13 February, 2024.  

At this significant juncture of recovery, and as Pomonal emerges from the impact of the December 2024 fires – the second bushfire event the township has experienced within a year – we remember the immense solidarity and resilience shown by Pomonal in February 2024.

The past year has been marked by community camaraderie and a profound commitment from residents, volunteers and the wider community to Pomonal’s recovery, as well as the incredible energy and stamina Pomonal has displayed in the wake of the December 2024 bushfire event. 

We acknowledge the ongoing efforts of those who continue to navigate the challenges which have followed the fires, and maintain our pledge to support Pomonal’s evolving recovery process, ensuring that the community continues to succeed.

At this time of personal and collective remembrance, we acknowledge all those affected by the 2024 bushfires and extent our abiding support.
