Dive into a New Career: Join the Ararat Fitness Centre Aquatics Team!
Ararat Rural City Council is looking for enthusiastic, community-minded individuals aged 16 and over to join our casual aquatics team at the Ararat Fitness Centre.
Through Council's new Learn & Earn Program, participants can obtain their AUSTSWIM accreditation completely free of charge, creating opportunities to become a Learn to Swim Teacher or Aqua Aerobics Instructor at the Ararat Fitness Centre.
“This opportunity is perfect for anyone looking for flexible hours, including parents looking for school-friendly or after-school shifts,” says Mayor Bob Sanders. “Our fitness centre staff play a key role in boosting community health and promoting a lifelong love for active living”.
Please note that formal employment offers are conditional. Successful participants will be offered a casual employment contract at the Ararat Fitness Centre only after successfully completing both the required training program and job application process.
Requirements to start training:
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates
- A valid Working with Children Check
Please note: Current First Aid & CPR certificates and a valid Working with Children Check is not covered in the training. If you do not already have these, you must be willing to obtain them prior to starting training.
