Changes to Municipality's Transfer Stations

Ararat Rural City Council is consolidating its waste services across the municipality to boost budget efficiencies, streamline essential services and keep rates low for residents.

As part of these changes the Pomonal, Willaura, Elmhurst, and Moyston Transfer Stations have closed.

The Ararat and Lake Bolac Transfer Stations will continue to operate as usual to serve the community's waste disposal needs.

These changes are necessary due to declining usage and ongoing operational costs, which have made the impacted transfer stations no longer financially viable. Council thanks the community for their cooperation whilst we implement these changes.
