The BreastScreen Victoria mobile clinic is heading back to Ararat in January, making it easier than ever to look after your breast health. A breast screen is free, takes around 10 minutes and you do not need a doctor’s referral. The van will be parked at the Ararat Library car park off Queen Street from 5 to 16 January, so now is a great time to get your girls checked.
Women aged 50–74 are especially encouraged to book in for their regular screen, but women from age 40 can also use this service. Early detection can make a big difference, and bringing the service to Ararat helps remove travel and cost barriers for local residents.
You can book your appointment directly online at https://bookings.breastscreen.org.au/ or by calling 13 20 50. If you need help to book or want more information, visit the BreastScreen Victoria website or speak to your health professional.
