Residents are encouraged to open their hearts and homes by adopting a kitten or a cat at an upcoming adoption day at Ararat Rural City Council’s Pound & Shelter on Thursday 16 April from 10am to 4pm.
Not only will you have the chance to adopt a kitten or cat, but you can also ask Council’s Community Safety Team about pet microchipping, registration, desexing, and general animal care.
- Kittens can be adopted at a cost of $100 each
- Adult cats can be adopted at a cost of $50 each.
- All adoption fees include pet registration with council, desexing (or desexing vouchers if the animal is too young right now), microchipping, vaccination, and worming.
- You can take your new car or kitten home with you on the day (once paperwork is all completed), so bring a carrier.
- Rego forms & adoption application forms will be available on the day
- Education, questions answered, or simply drop in for a look & chat.
- Unsure of or if your pet is microchipped? Bring it along and we can scan it for you, we can look up the microchip details to see if its in your name.
