EQUiPP Community Workshops

These workshops, facilitated by the The EQUiPP Projectare aimed at designing a chronic pain education campaign. No qualifications needed – just a willingness to share opinions about the messages that could work, and how best to get these messages out into the local Ararat community.

Location: Ararat | Wednesday, July 2nd | The Gordon Street Reserve Community Room - 12 pm & 5:30 pm

What happens If I Join?

Full details are outlined in the Participant Information Sheet. A summary is provided below.

If you take part, you’ll be invited to attend 1 to 3 workshops (2–3 hours each, with breaks).

During the workshops, workshop facilitators will ask you to help us shape the pain education campaign by:

  • Generating ideas together
  • Collaboratively creating and building on early designs
  • Ensuring your local knowledge and lived experience is at the heart of designs

Workshop facilitators will also ask you to complete a short questionnaire.

You’ll be reimbursed for your time and travel (specific information provided in Participant Information Sheets below)

Who Are These Workshops For?

Everyone’s welcome! You’ll likely fall into one of the following groups:

Local Community Members
You might live with chronic pain, have experienced it in the past, or care for someone who does. Or maybe you're just a community member who wants to help. You don’t need to be a professional—just interested.

Healthcare Providers
If you work in a healthcare role and support people with chronic pain (e.g. GP, physio, psychologist, pharmacist, etc.), The EQUiPP Project would love your perspective.

Community Interest-Holders & Decision-Makers
This includes people who help shape community life—like local employers, sports clubs, government reps, or anyone involved in programs or policies that impact people with chronic pain.

More information is available on The EQUiPP Project website.
