Ratepayers, It’s Time to Check Your Enrolment Details
Ararat Rural City Council is urging all eligible property owners within the municipality to ensure their details are up to date and registered as soon as possible.
New enrollees are encouraged to complete their enrolment as soon as possible to avoid any delays, and Council recommends all eligible property owners act early to ensure their information is accurate and current ahead of the 2025 rates notice distribution.
Following the announcement of additional funding for its Drought Support Package, the State Government has now provided Ararat Rural City Council with key details regarding its Primary Producer Support Payments initiative.
This initiative sees the State Government committing to fund a 40% rate reduction for primary producers in designated drought-affected areas. The aim of this initiative is to provide financial relief from council rates to farmers significantly impacted by ongoing drought.
The reduction applies to the Farm Rate and Municipal Charge on all properties rated as a farm for the 2025–26 financial year and will appear as a credit on eligible Valuation & Rates Notices.
How to Enrol
- Eligible ratepayers can find more information, including enrolment forms and eligibility criteria, on Council’s website, or by calling Council on (03) 5355 0200.
- Ratepayers also have the option to receive their rates notice by email. eNotices is an online portal that allows users to register, view and receive their rates notices electronically. Visit the eNotices website to register.
“As Council, we recognise that every property owner has a vested interest in Ararat Rural City’s future. Having your voice heard starts with checking your eligibility and making sure you are enrolled as a ratepayer,” said Ararat Rural City Council CEO, Dr Tim Harrison.
