Cr. Brown is passionate about improving Council's asset maintenance, supporting youth in rural areas and improving budget efficiency to ensure ratepayers are delivered the best possible outcomes. He sees balancing the Shire's population growth and incorporating the required infrastructure while maintaining our rural appeal as one of Council's greatest challenges in the next four years. Cr. Brown also identifies community consultation and engagement as a focus for improvement during Council's four-year term.

Cr. Brown is an Infrastructure and Development Portfolio Councillor and Council's representative on the Municipal Association's Emergency Management Committee.
