Marian College Ararat

Marian College Ararat was founded by the Brigidine Sisters in 1889. Today, as a Catholic secondary College providing excellent academic, cultural and sporting opportunities to more than 500 young men and women from Years 7 to 12, Marian College remains committed to high quality education for all students.

Maroona Primary School

Maroona Primary School exists to support local families to raise their children. The school's values of honesty, kindness, respect and excellence reflect the values of the wider community.

Students receive high quality, explicit instruction from highly trained, passionate staff with a strong emphasis on Mathematics and English. Students also study physical education, health, visual and performing arts, LOTE (Auslan), HASS and ICT on a weekly basis. In 2023 the school will be involved in the resilience project and the Energy Breakthrough.

At Maroona, teachers work closely with families to support students achieve great things. ‘We believe in being an outward facing school where parents and members of the community are welcomed.' Parent involvement and engagement with school has a big effect on student outcomes.

Moyston Progress Association

We are working to improve the amenities and liveability for the whole community through the Moyston Community Action Plan.
The small group welcomes any locals to join, to share ideas or perhaps help with the organisation of the Annual Easter Saturday Market.
