2025 People’s Choice Award Closing Soon: Vote For Your Favourite Local Business!

Ararat Rural City residents are encouraged to show support for their favourite local businesses by voting in the 2025 People’s Choice Award.

These awards are an award category of the 2025 East Grampians Business Awards; an annual initiative highlighting driven and successful businesses across the municipality.  

The winner is decided solely by online community votes, and it's a great opportunity for local businesses to be recognised. Residents can vote for any business, big or small, rural or in the CBD, that operates within Ararat Rural City.

The winner will receive an advertising package valued at $2,000 for advertising across MixxFM, Ace Radio and The Weekly Advertiser. Residents can vote for up to three of their favourite local businesses.

“The People’s Choice Award is a really great way for the community to get behind our local businesses. It also provides the winner with the opportunity to gain valuable exposure that can lead to new and exciting opportunities.” said Ararat Rural Council Deputy Mayor, Cr Bob Sanders.

“I encourage everyone to get involved and cast your vote. Let's celebrate the incredible achievements of our hardworking local businesses” he added.

The People’s Choice Award is run by Ararat Rural City Council in partnership with MixxFM, Ace Radio and The Weekly Advertiser.

Residents can cast their votes for any business, small or large, rural or CBD-based, operating within Ararat Rural City.

Voting closes Tuesday 30 September 2025.
