2026 Ararat Windfarm Grants Awarded Across Regional Communities

Several community groups across the region, including those within Ararat Rural City as well as neighbouring Northern Grampians and Pyrenees shires, have secured funding through the 2026 Ararat Windfarm Grants scheme.

As part of the Ararat Wind Farm’s community investment initiative, the scheme offers funding of up to $7,500, or up to $15,000 with matching contributions, to drive social and environmental sustainability across the Ararat, Northern Grampians, and Pyrenees municipalities.

Recipient organisations across Ararat Rural City include the Ararat VRI Bowls Club, Ararat Women’s Shed, Ararat City Band Inc, Jail House Rock Festival, Central Grampians LLEN, Ararat & District Junior Football, Lake Bolac Memorial Hall, Moyston Progress Association, and the Write Away Group.

The Ararat Windfarm Grants aims to empower local organisations to deliver innovative, sustainability-focused projects that strengthen regional resilience and social connection. 

By supporting collaborative, long-term initiatives, the fund drives meaningful improvements in local health and education while keeping communities active and engaged, as well as champions cultural diversity and creative expression, ensuring inclusive and positive outcomes across the region.
