Ararat Rural City Council is a member of the Mayoral and Councillor Taskforce Supporting People Seeking Asylum, working with over 40 other Councils across Australia to advocate to the Federal Government for fairness, compassion and dignity for people seeking asylum.

Council is dedicated to raising awareness about the challenges faced by refugees and people seeking asylum, while fostering a culture of welcome, respect, and inclusion. We celebrate their valuable contributions and the richness they bring to our community.
