Ararat Rural City Council encourages local businesses to have their say in national survey

Ararat Rural City Council is encouraging local business owners to take part in the Council of Small Business Organisations Australia (COSBOA) 2026 Small Business Perspectives Survey before it closes on 30 April 2026.

The survey provides small businesses with an opportunity to share their experiences and priorities, helping to inform national advocacy and policy development across key areas including tax, workforce, housing, energy, connectivity, insurance, and regulatory reform.

This year, COSBOA has placed a dedicated focus on regional, rural, and remote businesses to ensure their perspectives are represented in national discussions.

Ararat Rural City Council CEO Dr Tim Harrison said it was important that local businesses contribute to the survey so their voices are heard. “Small businesses are a cornerstone of our local economy, and their experiences matter,” Dr Harrison said.

“This survey is a practical way for business owners in Ararat Rural City to contribute to national conversations and help shape policies that affect their day to day operations. The stronger the regional response, the better the understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing communities like ours.”

The survey takes only a few minutes to complete and is open to all small business owners.

Council encourages all eligible businesses to take part before the closing date.
