Diamonds in the Rough to bring Neil Diamond classics to Town Hall
Ararat Rural City Council is inviting music lovers of all ages to Ararat Town Hall for Diamonds in the Rough, a live tribute celebrating the timeless songs of Neil Diamond on Wednesday 4 February 2026 from 11am to 12.30pm.
Featuring powerhouse vocalists Alexander Stuart and Michael Clohsey, the show will bring some of Diamond’s best-known hits to life on stage in the heart of Ararat.
Diamonds in the Rough promises an engaging morning of music, memories, and singalong favourites, with audiences treated to classics ranging from Sweet Caroline and Cracklin’ Rosie through to Hello Again and Love on the Rocks. With rich harmonies, dynamic stage presence, and a setlist that spans decades of songwriting, the performance offers a relaxed and welcoming experience for long-time fans and newcomers alike.
Mayor, Cr Bob Sanders, said the event was another example of Ararat Town Hall bringing quality live entertainment to the region. “Ararat Town Hall continues to punch above its weight, giving local people and visitors the chance to enjoy top-notch shows without having to travel to the city,” Cr Sanders said. “Diamonds in the Rough will be a great excuse to come into town, catch up with friends, and enjoy some classic Neil Diamond tunes in one of our community’s favourite venues.”
Council is encouraging residents, community groups, and visitors to make a day of it in Ararat, pairing the performance with a coffee or lunch at a local café, or a stroll through the CBD. With accessible facilities and a central location at the corner of Barkly and Vincent Streets, Ararat Town Hall remains a popular destination for daytime performances, especially for those who prefer not to travel at night.
Tickets for Diamonds in the Rough are available now via the Ararat Town Hall website, with patrons encouraged to book early to secure their seats. For more information, including ticketing details and other upcoming performances at Ararat Town Hall, visit ararattownhall.com.au.
