Have Your Say: Community Feedback Window Closing Soon for Key Council Strategy Documents

Ararat Rural City community members have until Friday 9 May 2025 to submit their feedback on four key draft documents which outline Council’s strategic direction for the municipality: the Community Vision 2035, the Council Plan 2025-2029, the Draft Financial Plan 2025-2035, and the Revenue & Rating Plan 2025-2029.

The final drafts of these documents, together with the Draft Budget 2025/2026, will be presented at the Council Meeting to be held on 24 June 2025.

The Community Vision 2035 captures the aspirations of our community over the next ten years, whilst the Council Plan serves as the strategic guide for the next four years, outlining the steps Council will take to achieve the long-term goals defined in the Community Vision.

The Financial Plan provides a 10-year financially sustainable projection regarding how the actions of the Council Plan 2025-2029 may be funded to achieve Council’s Community Vision 2035, and the Rating & Revenue Plan 2025-2029 determines the most appropriate and affordable revenue and rating approach through which Council will finance the objectives in the Council Plan 2025-2029.
