Kings of Australian Rock Take Centre Stage at Ararat Town Hall
Ararat Rural City Council is delighted to announce a special night of legendary Australian music, as Melbourne’s premier tribute acts, Gold Chisel and The Power & The Passion Oils Tribute, unite for an electrifying performance at Ararat Town Hall on Saturday, 6 September 2025.
This double-header event promises a celebration of the hits that have defined generations, with Gold Chisel delivering Cold Chisel classics such as “Khe Sanh,” “When the War is Over,” “Cheap Wine,” “Flame Trees,” and “Choir Girl.”
Joining them on stage, The Power & The Passion Oils Tribute will ignite the crowd with Midnight Oil favourites including “Power and the Passion,” “Beds are Burning,” “Blue Sky Mine,” and “King of the Mountain.”
There will be cabaret and theatre seating available, guests are invited to BYO nibbles and the bar will open 30 minutes prior to the show’s 8:00pm start.
Ararat Rural City Council Mayor, Cr Jo Armstrong, said the concert would strike a chord with music lovers across the region. “We know how much great music means to our community. It brings people together, sparks joyful memories, and delivers an energy that can only be found at live events. I encourage everyone to grab their friends, book a table, and come share the excitement with us.”
Tickets are available now via the Ararat Town Hall website. Don’t miss your chance to experience two of the greatest sounds of Australian rock under one roof.
