Last Chance to Join Ararat’s 2025 Life Drawing Series at TAMA Gallery
Ararat Rural City Council is encouraging residents and art enthusiasts to attend the last session in the current series of life drawing events at Ararat Gallery TAMA, set for Thursday, 16 October from 5.45pm to 8pm.
This popular event series, guided by multidisciplinary artist Bev Isaac, has welcomed participants of all skill levels, offering hands-on instruction and a supportive environment for exploring the art of drawing the human form.
This event is the final of a highly popular series of six that have run throughout 2025.
Council Mayor Jo Armstrong said, “Our local arts spaces bring people together in such an authentic way. Bev’s classes have sparked creativity and conversation in our community, and the feedback has been truly positive. These classes are about seeing differently, observing deeply, and finding your own unique way of capturing the human form. We’re thrilled to have the wonderful Bev Isaac on board for these classes this year.”
Easels, drawing boards, butchers paper and charcoal, chairs, and tables are all provided, and attendees are also welcome to bring their favourite drawing materials to use. All abilities are welcome and no prior experience is required, though attendees must be ages 18 and over (exemptions are available for VCE art students – contact TAMA for details).
Those interested are encouraged to book early, as places are limited to 10 per class. Entry is open to adults and VCE art students, with bookings available through the Gallery’s website.
