Maia Is Looking For A Home
Ararat Rural City Council is calling on animal lovers to consider opening their home to Maia, a young domestic short hair cat currently available for adoption through the Ararat Animal Shelter.
Maia is a female domestic short hair cat, aged around 18 months, who is ready to find a caring new family. With her adoption fee set at $100, Maia offers a wonderful opportunity for someone looking to welcome a feline companion into their home.
Maia is a gentle, affectionate girl with a wonderfully easy-going nature and plenty of love to share. She’ll happily keep you company while you read, relax or settle in for a favourite show, with cuddles, soft nudges and loving headbutts all part of the package. Sociable and adaptable, Maia could thrive as your one-and-only feline friend or alongside other cats. She’s ready to bring warmth, companionship and a little extra joy to her new home.
Mayor Cr Bob Sanders said adopting a shelter animal can make a real difference for both the animal and its new owner. “Maia is looking for someone to give her a good home and the care she deserves,” Mayor Sanders said. “We have plenty of people in our community who love animals, and this is a great chance for someone to take Maia home and give her a fresh start.
“Adopting a pet is a commitment, but it can also bring a lot of enjoyment to a household. We would love to see Maia settled into a home where she can be cared for and become part of the family.”
Council encourages prospective owners to consider their ability to provide a safe, secure home, ongoing veterinary care, suitable food, and companionship before adopting an animal.
The $100 adoption fee includes all of her vetwork so she comes chipped, desexed and with vaccinations up to date.
