New Community Emergency Management Planning Workshops Announced
Ararat Rural City Council, with the support of Emergency Management Victoria, is pleased to announce a further round of Community Emergency Management Planning workshops to be held in August and October 2025.
These workshops, hosted by Emergency Management specialists The Six C’s, will build on the strong community engagement seen earlier this year and continue the Council’s commitment to building a well-planned and prepared community.
The workshops are designed to develop tailored strategies that address unique local vulnerabilities and build on local capacity to manage emergencies.
Central to these workshops is the ability to identify strengths, assets, and build on the community’s preparedness, response, and recovery capabilities for disasters. They are an excellent opportunity for attendees to share their knowledge and experience, and play a role in planning for the future.
“Our communities know their strengths better than anyone. These workshops are a valuable opportunity to come together, share local knowledge, develop plans, and make sure we have the knowledge and tools in place to meet whatever challenges may come our way,” said Ararat Rural City Council Mayor, Cr Jo Armstrong.
