Sketch Away Stress at TAMA’s Drawing Circle
Ararat Gallery TAMA will be hosting another Drawing Circle session on Wednesday 30 April, from 5pm - 7pm.
Initiated by local artist Alex Kennedy, Drawing Circle is a collaborative drawing session intended as a low stress environment where local artists can meet and socialise while creating together.
Folks are welcome to bring their own solo drawing projects, and/or choose to take part in a collaborative drawing exercise (pictured), which involves passing a sketch from person to person as each person adds to the drawing.
All abilities are welcome at Drawing Circle; inexperienced artists can participate in the collaborative drawing with simple shapes or letters.
Free entry, no booking required, materials provided but feel free to bring your favourite drawing utensils!
Drawing Circle events are friendly, drop-in sessions – come in for as little or long as you like, and enjoy a tea or coffee while you work.
“Drawing Circle is such a fun and low-pressure event at TAMA,” says Ararat Rural City Council Mayor, Cr Jo Armstrong. “Collaborative drawing is all about sharing perspectives, igniting new ideas, and seeing that creativity really is amplified when we share it."
