Spring Fun Awaits: Ararat Rural City Council Launches School Holiday Program
Ararat Rural City Council is delighted to announce the launch of its 2025 Spring School Holiday Program, offering a diverse range of activities for children and families across the municipality.
Kicking off on Saturday 20 September and running through Sunday 5 October, this year’s program brings exciting opportunities to keep kids entertained, learning, and active throughout the break.
Highlights include the much-anticipated Indoor Pool Party at the Ararat Fitness Centre on Tuesday 23 September and a suite of activities at the Ararat Library, such as Movie Mondays, Lego Club sessions, and a creative ToonWorld Model Making workshop.
Ararat Gallery TAMA will play host to daily Community Wall Creation Station workshops, a drop-in craft session, and a special Mini Flags workshop with Wadawurrung artist Kait James. For theatre enthusiasts, the Ararat Town Hall will present family-friendly shows including ‘Cinderella’ and ‘The Librarian.’
Deputy Mayor Bob Sanders said, “There’s something for everyone in this year’s holiday program. Our team works hard to create welcoming experiences where children can connect, explore new interests, and enjoy their time away from school, and they’ve done a marvellous job. Council is proud to support activities that bring joy and laughter to our community’s families.”
To participate in particular events, bookings may be required, so families are encouraged to check details in advance. For more information on the full program, visit Ararat Rural City Council’s website or contact Council on (03) 5355 0200.
Ararat Rural City Council looks forward to welcoming families throughout the spring holidays as the community comes together to enjoy another season of fun-filled activities.
