A Sweet New Arrival: Mountains of Chocolate Opens in Ararat’s Barkly Street Precinct
Much-anticipated retailer, Mountains of Chocolate, officially opened in Ararat’s Barkly Street last week, welcoming many eager chocolate lovers through their doors over the busy Easter period.
The newly opened chocolate shop offers a wide range of artisanal chocolates, gift-ready pre-packaged selections, delicious cakes and slices, and a cozy café so that you can enjoy a warm beverage with your sweet treats.
Mountains of Chocolate is among several Ararat Rural City local businesses that have taken advantage of Council’s Façade Improvement Grants Scheme, which awards grants of up to $10,000 on a 2:1 basis, offering local businesses the ability to refresh their business frontages.
These funding schemes are part of an ongoing effort to improve street appeal, maintain the heritage of local buildings, and support those looking to open a new or expand their existing business. Council have also supported over fifty local businesses under the Façade Improvement Grants scheme.

Mountains of Chocolate is located on at 52 Barkly St, Ararat, and is open six days a week from 9am-5pm (closed on Wednesdays).
