Turn Your Garden Waste into Garden Gold with Local Compost

Ararat Rural City Council is pleased to announce that compost made right here from green waste collected across the Ararat Rural City is now available for purchase. 

This locally produced compost offers residents an easy and sustainable way to enrich their gardens while supporting the green waste recycling loop in our community.

The compost is available for just $5 per bag or $80 per cubic metre. Residents who want to place an order or arrange delivery can contact the friendly Customer Service team on (03) 5355 0200.

Dr Tim Harrison, Chief Executive Officer of Ararat Rural City Council, said, “Turning garden waste into compost is a simple step that not only benefits your plants but also helps us manage resources wisely in our region.
