Vote For Your Favourite Local Businesses in the 2025 People’s Choice Award

Ararat Rural City Council is encouraging all residents to show their appreciation for local businesses by voting in the 2025 East Grampians Business Awards People’s Choice category. 

From small rural shops to large operations, every business within the boundaries of Ararat Rural City is eligible for nomination. 

Voting opened Thursday 11 September 2025 and closes on 30 September 2025.

Community participation matters, and the People’s Choice category is a unique opportunity to acknowledge the service, dedication, and innovation offered by businesses throughout our region. 

For the People’s Choice, residents are the judges, and every vote shapes the outcome, reflecting the genuine preferences and experiences of those who live and work here.

Residents can cast their votes online for any business they value, regardless of size or location, if it operates within Ararat Rural City.

Dr Tim Harrison, Chief Executive Officer of Ararat Rural City Council, said, “Each time residents give a local business their vote, they’re lending support and telling the region what they think. These awards are all about recognising the hard work and commitment shown by people in business who help make Ararat Rural City a better place, day in and day out. I encourage everyone to take part. Your vote really counts, and your backing means the world to the businesses that serve us.”
