High quality and reasonably priced compost (and mulch) is available to the Ararat Rural City community.
In a joint project between Ararat Rural City Council and Gaia EnviroTech, the compost is created from green waste collected within the municipality, processed and pasteurised at the Ararat Transfer Station, and batch-tested to ensure it meets AS4454 quality standards.
Compost is available for $5 per bag, or $80 per cubic metre, and delivery within the Ararat Rural City municipality can be arranged.
Council team members are often at the monthly Ararat Markets with $5 bags available for sale, so keep an eye out.
