Key Pests

Many pests which are present in Ararat are declared as established invasive animals under the CaLP Act 1994: these include feral cats (on crown land only), foxes and rabbits. Under the CaLP Act (section 20(1)(f)), all landowners have a legal obligation to contain the spread and, as far as possible, eradicate these species.
